1. Enhanced NTUC CARE FUND (COVID-19) - application opens from 23 November 2020 to 28 February 2021

In view of the economic uncertainties that were brought about by the COVID-19 outbreak, ​U Care Fund will be providing additional support via the Enhanced NTUC Care Fund (COVID-19) for NTUC Union Members who are facing ​financial distress ​during this challenging period. The Enhanced version has refreshed its set of criteria to benefit more members.

Existing NICA members
1) Auto-eligible: If you have received payout under the first NTUC Care Fund (COVID-19) exercise and are still a union member, you are eligible and will receive your next payout by early December 2020. You will receive an SMS from NTUC. 

2) Application required: If you are not a successful applicant of the first NTUC Care Fund (COVID-19)​​​, and are a NICA member, you may apply here​.

Non-NTUC Union Members
1. You will first have to apply to be a NTUC Union member*.

2. CapitaLand - U Care Resilience & Enablement Fund (CAP+Ure Fund)

CAP+Ure Fund targets to provide interim financial support for low-to-medium income union members* who are impacted by sudden loss of income. The funds would be disbursed to help an estimated 2,500 children over 2 years or when the funds are fully drawn down, whichever is earlier.

To ensure that the needs of the children are not compromised, each child will receive a one-time disbursement of S$250 worth of FairPrice vouchers to provide for their daily necessities and schooling needs. 

Eligibility Criteria

Member must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the funding:

  • Monthly Gross Household Income (GHI) of $5,800 and below or Per Capita Income (PCI) of $1,450 and below if exceeds GHI
  • Children aged 21 years old and below studying at eligible educational institutions:
    • Government / Government-aided / Independent schools (primary and secondary) under the Ministry of Education;
    • Junior colleges; Institute of Technical Education; Millennia Institute;
    • Special education schools
  • 6 months of continuous paid-up union membership

Leveraging the Government's Self-Employed Person (SEP) Support Scheme and co-funded by the Government and NTUC, the NTUC Training Fund (SEPs) allows SEPs to earn as they train.  It also aims to support SEPs in deepening and/or acquiring new competencies during this lull period, in preparation for when the economy picks up and new opportunities arise.

The NTUC Training Fund (SEPs) is applicable for courses under the SkillsFuture Series and selected sector-specific training courses.
